Marquette Financial Companies is pleased and excited to announce the addition of Pete Luxhoj as President of Meridian Construction Capital, effective July 1. Pete has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate lending and significant management depth. Pete will lead MCC in developing the most effective business strategy, managing through the current economic environment, creating plans for the future growth of the business and leading the people in the group.

Pete’s work experience includes over 20 years of real estate lending experience. Most recently, Pete has been at Wachovia as Senior Vice President/Regional Executive for Residential Real Estate Financial Services overseeing the Mid-Atlantic, Carolinas and Tennessee regions. In addition to the broader geographic responsibility Pete has considerable knowledge of the Virginia marketplace having served roles as market manager in Richmond and northern Virginia prior to his regional responsibilities. Prior to Wachovia, Pete served as Executive Vice President/Division Manager of Real Estate Finance for Central Fidelity National Bank.

In addition to Pete’s leadership and lending experience, he holds a BS in Business Management from Virginia Tech. Pete has also completed the Wachovia Leadership Program at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Pete and his wife Betsy have four children and have lived in Richmond, Virginia for fourteen years.
